Acceptance

By creating an account or using Recalen, you confirm that you can enter a binding agreement and that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Recalen is a personal capture and recall tool. Features may change as we improve the product. We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical.

The public landing demo is for illustration only. Demo input is not stored on our servers.

Beta Service and Data Preservation

Recalen is currently provided as a beta testing service. During the beta period, features, storage systems, data formats, and service behavior may change. The service may experience interruptions, defects, synchronization errors, corruption, or loss of content.

Recalen does not guarantee that content entered during beta will remain continuously available, complete, recoverable, error-free, or permanently preserved. You should maintain independent copies of information you cannot afford to lose.

This beta provision remains applicable while Recalen is designated as a beta service or until Recalen provides notice that it has been replaced.

Nothing in this section limits any rights, remedies, duties, or liabilities that cannot legally be waived, including applicable privacy and data-security obligations.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant Recalen a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate the service for you.

You are responsible for the content you store, including ensuring you have rights to it and that it complies with applicable law. Do not use Recalen to store unlawful, abusive, or infringing material.

Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for safeguarding your sign-in credentials. Notify us at support@recalen.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to the service or other users.

Accessibility

We make good-faith efforts to design, develop, and maintain Recalen in a way that is accessible to users, including by considering commonly recognized web accessibility standards such as WCAG and applicable accessibility requirements. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we welcome reports of barriers or issues. If you experience an accessibility issue, please contact us through the support ticket flow and include enough detail for us to investigate. We will review reported accessibility concerns and work in good faith to remediate confirmed issues as reasonably practical.

Account deletion and inactivity

You can request deletion of your account from Account Settings or by contacting support@recalen.com. When you delete your account—or if your account is removed from our authentication provider—we delete your account data from our active systems and object storage. Deletion is processed by an automated purge job and may take a short time to complete.

Accounts that remain inactive for 12 months may be deleted, including stored content and attachments, subject to prior notice where we are able to reach you. Signing in before the scheduled deletion date cancels it. See our Privacy Policy for details on retention and backups.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, probe, or overload the service. Do not scrape, reverse engineer, or circumvent access controls except as permitted by law.

Do not use Recalen to distribute malware, spam, or to harass others.

Disclaimers

Recalen is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recalen and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), except where law does not allow such limits.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

Changes

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
